You will learn how to master the use of calame and the different types of Arabic writings, naskh, thuluth, nasta'liq, chekasteh, etc. The فارسی (Farsi) or Persian uses the 28 letters of the Arabic alphabet and adds 4 more, so it is 32 characters long.

Traditional binding course in Paris

Couture des cahiers d'un livre

One of the many steps in bookbinding: the sewing of the quires with a "cousoir"

The people who live among the books and especially those who, for their professional activity, take the books and handle them, leave them open and take them back, know that the bookbinder preserves the book. In my library, the series of Greek texts goes to pieces, the pages retained by rubber bands. Only those who had been binded, resisting all my hard work, remain proud. Anyone who loves books likes to see them so well dressed, as if they were ready to enter the long term.
