Lining with Japanese paper and gelatine of a music notation sheet of an early sixteenth century manuscript on paper weakened by corrosive iron gall ink

 

You will learn to restore books from all periods as well as graphic works: engravings, handwritten letters, etc. But also, if you wish, to reproduce bindings, ancient, Coptic, etc.

 

Classes run by Eric in our workshop on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., 2 or 3 classes a month from October to June.It is for beginners as well as for people who want to improve their skills. In order to work in the best conditions, this class can only welcome 4 people. You can join at any time of the year, subject to availability.

Prices :

  1. for the year, 1380 € for 21 classes of 3 hours (possibility of payment in 3 instalments by cheque)
  2. for a quarter, 460 € for 7 classes of 3 hours

Supplies included except for skins and marbled paper. This course will require the purchase of small materials for an amount of approximately 80 €.
